Who we are

Tabulae Limited is an on-line listing of professional demonstrators, interpreters, entertainers, makers and suppliers, serving the heritage and education industries.

We have endeavoured to ensure that all of our accreditees have thoroughly researched and developed their product; be it performance or manufactured articles. All are professionals, offering a professional service and standard of presentation. Each can be relied on to fulfill their commissions with absolute integrity.

Most of our accreditees try to be as 'authentic' as possible, (in that their costume and accoutrements are in the correct materials and are copied from originals/period illustrations) and remove any anachronisms from public view. Tabulae do not take direct bookings. What we do, is offer potential clients a referral to those accredited interpreters whether acts, demonstrators or makers. So that you can select the most appropriate for your needs.

How to use this site

You can click on the time periods to find many different historical interpreters for your chosen time OR if you want a specific type of act (ie music) the just type it in the search box at the top of the page for a full listing. If you need to contact us go to our contact page.

Our guarantee

All those accredited by us will have: public liability insurance up to at least £5m, conform to the CRB guidelines as appropriate (for more information click here), provide a professional, well informed service and will portray their given historical period as accurately as possible.
