English falconry had reached the pinnacle of its existence
by the late Middle Ages and contributed much to Medieval society. Falconry and
the pursuit of wild quarry were reflected in art, literature, poetry, music and
language of the period and falconry birds were commonly seen at church,
jousting tournaments, royal banquets, market squares and at weddings.
