Discover History also offers Walking Tours:
Whether you are a local resident to Worcester or you are visiting our Home City, why not meet one of Worcester’s past characters on a historical guided walk. Our tours run at any time of the day, all year round and whatever the weather – even if the tour is just for yourself. We do have one scheduled tour that runs every single day, all year round and that is the popular The Worcester Story tour.
THE WORCESTER STORY
Do you want to find out more about the historic city of Worcester? Then come and join one of our costumed guides as they walk you through the days of yesteryear, allowing you to relive the Worcester Story and the making of a Cathedral City. Hear about the Romans, the devastating Viking raids, Elizabeth I and her visit to the city in 1575 and the bloody battle of Worcester that took place in 1651.
The Worcester Story is historically accurate and has been researched by historians and is also delivered by historians. Walks take place every day, all year round, and depart from outside Worcester's historic Guildhall on the High Street at 6:00pm. The walk will last for up to 90 minutes - booking is essential (on our usual number, given above).
Discover History can even offer any of our walks to private parties. Whatever your requirements, why not try us out? We can tailor the tour to your specific needs, whether this is for fun or educational purposes! Fancy a ghost walk or a pub crawl? Maybe you are most interested in Royalty, Medicine or a specific age? Is the start time wrong for you? Is the tour too long? Too short? Don't worry! We can cater for all of your needs! So whether it's for a school, college or even an office or club outing, let us know your requirements and we can work from there.
